Community Outreach is how we engage our members in fulfilling the mission and vision of Gospel House Ministries, Inc.  Community Outreach is important because it follows the teachings of Jesus, makes a positive impact on the community, and helps in spiritual growth and discipleship. “Reaching the lost for Christ” is a Christian mission to share the Gospel, the Good News, of Jesus Christ with those who don’t know Him.  Jesus makes this clear in the Great Commission: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19-20). This passage means that our churches must reach not only the lost, but the lost nations—it’s part of our calling. 

Every believer has been called to minister and evangelize, by the power of the Holy Spirit who gives us the boldness to do so.  The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 4:3 that if our Gospel is hidden, it is hidden to those that are lost: in whom the god of this world [Satan] hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.  

Through the deliberate planning of events, it is the goal of Gospel House Ministries, Inc. to reach out to the community we serve to demonstrate God’s love in action. Our community outreach involves spreading messages of hope, meeting needs, and fostering a sense of belonging to Jesus as a follower.  It also involves supporting and promoting spiritual growth and those who are sincere about getting to know Jesus.  We do this by praying and fasting for the success of these followers in Christ Jesus.  We also conduct annual community BBQ’s, Movie Nights, Game Nights, recreational needs, etc.  As our theme scripture says:  For we are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.
