Our HISTORY
Gospel House Ministries, Inc. started upon the marriage of Herbert and Brenda Ward in June 2003. They carried the “baby” for nearly five years. While having its name in their hearts and minds, they waited on the Lord to give them the green light.
After three years of helping other ministries, God gave them orders to move forward with the vision and to start the mission. The mission officially started in November 2007 in our Pastors’ home. The first service was held on January 6, 2008 at 2101 Fulton Street, where Gospel House Ministries, Inc. shared space with Saved to Serve Ministries. We started with five families–the Woods, Franks, Edwards, Josephs and Jones. The first sermon, “The Truth Crushed to the Ground Will Rise Again,” was preached by Pastor Herbert Ward, Sr.
In April 2010, Gospel House Ministries, Inc. moved into their very own space in Bedford-Stuyvesant, where the vision and mission continued to be carried out. We served the Bed-Stuy community faithfully for 6 years until God enlarged our territory and opened a door to continue serving in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn in August of 2016. The Lord is adding souls to the church daily such as should be saved!
Our MISSION
To not get ahead of God, but to allow Almighty God to work with us, whose power we shall receive by faith; and by faith we shall be witnesses unto Him by spreading the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ in this community, surrounding communities, and in other parts of the United States–even unto the ends of the earth, for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
